The Estate at River Bend has introduced Hero’s Path, a program specifically tailored for veterans and military personnel who are challenged with substance use issues. This program is part of the Veterans Affairs Community Care Network (VA CCN) and is covered by TRICARE, making it accessible for veterans and active duty military. Hero’s Path can be found at four Bradford Healthcare residential treatment facilities, including The Estate.

This specialized program addresses the particular challenges that come with substance abuse in the military. It’s about more than just treatment; it’s about building a community. The environment is supportive, where veterans can share experiences and heal together. The therapy is specifically geared toward the kind of stress, trauma, and situations that military members experience.

“Veterans often face unique traumas and stressors during their service, which can contribute to addiction,” states Billy Vevle, CEO, The Estate at River Bend. “Our program is designed to address these specific experiences, ensuring that individuals receive the care they deserve. Our program is tailored to address issues such as PTSD, military culture, and reintegration into civilian life.”

Many of the medical and clinical professionals as well as those in recovery support roles, have military backgrounds. This shared experience within Hero’s Path can be incredibly valuable in creating a supportive atmosphere.

For veterans, active service members, and their families who need help, call for more information or to start the admission process at 888-4-A-HERO-1.
